The Spanish National Day – became a Great Day for Spanish Ice Hockey…. The Derby between Nordic Vikings and Majadahonda was sold out….Majadahonda won with 5-1 against Nordic Vikings, in a quite tight and even game in the first two periods..
The Game as such was a good, clean and even one in two periods. The Game started with two goals one each to 1 -1. Then you got the classic derby feeling in the rink with a full crowd – with chances and good play from both sides …. In the beginning of the third Majadahonda scored a flipper goal that bounced on a lot of skates to 1-2 in a situation where it seemed that Los Vikingos had full control of the situation. After that Nordic Vikings did not manage to level the game, due to a lot of chances created. In the end Majadahonda capitalized on the more open Vikings defense and scored and killed the games with goals from the slot with two goals to 1-4 and in the end also 1-5 came. Today we lost against a Team that was more composed and prepared for 60 minutes and played with good defense for each other, we had our chances to take the lead or levelled the game but today we did not manage to do it.
It is never fun to lose a game but the game as Such was good for the Hockey, with clean play and a crowded audience, It is not so much more to add and just congratulate Majadahonda who now have won 4 straight games in La Liga and are for the moment they are the Kings of Madrid – However it is still 2 more Games this season in La Liga against Majadahonda and with the new big interest this games might will be played in the Hortaleza Arena… So we will be back with new Energy and hope that the Nordic Audience will come and support us…. Because Ice Hockey in Madrid is definitely Hot at the Moment… Professor….
