Los Vikingos, might not played their best game of the season against Barca this weekend, but due to that it became a good and exciting Ice Hockey Game, and actually Barca was might a little bit lucky to get the draw 2-2 before the 60 minutes. In the end Barca took the the extra point on penalties, by Swedish Julian Edström…
If you look at the game as such… In Nou Camp it is an NHL size rink, and that means that the games – with the condition that the ice is in Barca currently ( Yesterday it was better than before according to Barca Players ) – became more phyiscal, and the play Vikings have produced the last games was hard to reproduce today. The game became more of a battle. If you look at the game as such Barca was over 65 minutes the best team… However Los Vikingos, had 2-1 until the last minute and actually missed an open net for 3-1… Every one should also now that Barca, might have started the season a little bit slow, but they are the current Champions of Spain, and at Nou Camp, it is not easy to take points… And we almost took 3…
For the players and the coach it hurt when you are that close, and it always take some hours to re think what you could have done more and it leave you with the feeling that you have lost 2 points ..But if we look at ourselves in the mirror I think we should accept the result, as fair, and be happy with the taken point… Actually this is the first point Barca lost at Nou Camp this season… In this game I also think the referees gave us a fair chance to win the game… This game became more of a classic Swedish Teamwork for us, with the Spanish Players included in the hard team work .. The whole Team did a great working performance, from Oscar Lööf in the Goal, defence with Aleksi Junninen back in action again and goals scored by Andreas Andersson 1-0 and Edwin Lindström 2-1, with assists on both from Andreas Eklund. The hard work from everyone including Bruno Hernando and Luis Manuel Guerrero that did their shifts and was really part of the point taken and Finally thanks to Barca – Says Per-Erik Holmström
In this two games we have played against Barca, It has been two draws, but they have come out with the extra points, and have been sharper than us in that moments so far… However the final game of the season will probably be in Hortaleza, and If we win that game we still has the chance to win most points in the series against Barca…. So If we could just get some help from all Nordic People here in Madrid and might also Los Vikings (Real Madrid Fan Club)… We might be able to stop them next time… The Game will be played after Christmas…
