Slovakian Bandy, has kindly asked China Bandy – lending out Per-Erik Holmström Nordic Vikings to Coach the Slovakian National Team in the current upcoming World Championship in Irkutsk Russia, due to that the Slovakian Coach and Swedish and World Bandy Legend Stefan”Lillis” Jonsson could not participate due to family reasons.
“In this current Corona situation we are happy to assist the colleague Slovakian Bandy Nation and wish the Slovakian Bandy a good tournament in Russia, and we will have to look for future tournaments instead” says Mr Zhu Zhiqiang President for China Bandy
“Yes it became a surprising call on the bus home from Norway when the President Luka Vepy asked me of the possibility to help but as it was yj idea that I would go to Russia without the Cinaa Team i think it was a good solution for everyone. So now I am just looking forward to be involved and working together with Russian Coach Konstantin Priachin in the set up. It is of course many people that now more about Bandy than me, but I also know a lot on how to quickly adapt “Hockey Players” to Bandy – who is the main task with this Team and I know both some of the players and the other Teams quite well – so we will see if I could add something” says Per-Erik Holmström
