Nordic Vikings visits Beijing and support the Sports Republic Olympic Development Camp at Birdnest, and also preparing China for the Bandy World Championship later this year in Irkutsk (Men) and Oslo (Woman)
Per-Erik Holmström Nordic Vikings President and Harbin Professor, Taro Nihei Nordic Vikings and currently AIK together with Anders Gozzi Sport Director AIK visited Beijing to support Sports Republis Olympic Camp in Beijing. The program also hosted games in KHL and VHL as well as seeing the Chinese Woman Ice Hockey team in their pre games to the Olympics. In Beijing also Nordic Vikings Ambassadors Wang Long and Zhang Yuan assisted as usual.
Per-Erik says ” It has been a good week here in Beijing, meeting most of the players an I am looking forward to the World Championship later this year – with Magnus Lu, Libero and Shooter from Norway and Readly in the Mens Team we will be able to do a good approach in Irkutsk this season and on the and on the Woman side – adding Ellen Spång, from Tranås – who could both shoot and control the midfield, together with Sofia “Mei Mjau” Mårtensson, we will take another step forward to reach our medal goals in Norway. It has also been really exciting to see the new “Ice Ribbon” Arena here in Beijing – it could be an important castle for the Bandy Sport in the future. Currently Beijing is reaching almost 100 Ice Hockey Rinks and now starts to reach figures as 10.000 skaters from Youth to Seniors so I believe it also could be an exciting future after the Olympics here in Beijing, going to the Ice Hockey and the visits to the VHL it is good to see the performance for some of the Bandy Players and also meeting some other Hokay Players.
Taro Nihei says “For me it was great to be back in Beijing and to see and feel the Developments”
Anders Gozzi says ” For me visiting China for the first time it has just been an exciting week so just thansk to Vanessa and Sports Republic to arrange this trip to China”
