The Hockey weekend in Madrid become almost “Magic”….the whole weekend…
When Majadahonda met PUIGCERDÀ in the La Liga Play Off Madrid, series after two tuff losses in PUIGCERDÀ last weekend, it became sensational exciting games….and I think the Saturday’s game could be comparable with Sweden win against Finland in WC, when they comeback from 1-5 to win the game….
Saturdays Game started in high speed and intense and after first period it was 1-1…. In second PUIGCERDÀ seemed to have killed the game and was in lead with 4-1… Into the third, rumours said that players in PUIGCERDÀ planned for a night in Madrid… and they started the third to score 5-1… But Majadahonda rebounded directly to 2-5…. and when referees also wanted to clean up their protocol it was suddenly 4-5…. And with 25 second left “El Matador” scored the equalizer…. After 10 minutes Overtime it became Penalties…. and in that Alex Pedraz, Artjoms Kadniovjs, really showed they were the best entertainers…with Pablo Mata, also delivered the famous “Magic” trick…
It meant it was also a game on Sunday, when Majadahonda Team took an early lead to 2-0… but it was levelled with one goal in second and one in the third to 2-2… and another overtime waited…. Due to that the puck danced on the goal line a couple of times to get Majadahonda a decisive 5th game… However, the Russian star Ignat Zemchenko, from PUIGCERDÀ finally killed the game just before Penalties…. The La Liga Final will be between Jaca and PUIGCERDÀ….
It is still a chance for Majadahonda to win the Copa the Rey this season in April… However so far former Vikings has contributed a lot… This year It has been written a lot of Arkaitx “El Matador” Edgren Corral and he has really started coming back in shape and did a good weekend again. Alex Cumming got injured early in the season but could be back to Copa del Rey. Alex Pedraz still does “Magic” things with his hands so also this weekend, but I will finally stop here to honour John Wedin, he is really a pure Raw model as a Hockey Player. He has Skills, Power, Force and a Mentality to never complains – Whatever the treatment is from other players and referees… He is always a dream for a coach…
However, the whole Hockey Community in Madrid is still waiting for “Magics” return…We hope to see Kent “Magic” Nilsson in Madrid 12 December 2025…
