Majadahonda play Play Off against Puigcerda on Saturday 8 March in Madrid 22.00 “La Nevera”
In the weekend the Team Performance was over expectations from the Majadahonda Team who lost two tight games in the end. On Saturday John Wedin and also Alex Pedraz, with Los Vikingos connections added Goals and Points and the Team was in lead with 3-1 and 3-2 into the third. On Sunday Pablo Mata scored the 2 Goals and they where in lead two times with 2-2 into the third. Both Games ended 3-6 and was decided late in third and ended with goals in Open Net…
The 5 on 5 game was even, However If you play almost a Period in Box Play in both Games, against the best PP in the League you understand that loosing the game just in the open goals in the end is a fantastic Team Performance.
Beeing a judge is not always easy – and the games started with that Ignat Zemchenko in Puigcerda got an MP an was gone for the weekend, but after that all main 50/50 situations, with slashings and hoockings, was in favour of Puigcerda and in my opinion the protocol show it is to much… But also some players need to have the stick on the ice….and not as a weapon…
From a Game point of view it was a full speed game in front of a quite big audience, and the Hockey athomsphere up there on hard ice with a little bit smaller rink – Is always intense… Now the series went back to Madrid with other entertainers… and it will be interesting to see how the Teams could fullfill or adjust thier Strategies and with more balanced protocol…
